Pros

Company does its best to stick to its HEART values. Transparency especially. Management doesn't hide anything from the teams, openly shares stats and results even during periods where things aren't amazing. There is a lot of effort to be thoughtful and inclusive. The business as a whole is also doing well, so it is a good experience to see what it is like working for a global company that is going through a growth phase, even when it's alrady quite large. There are a lot of challenges working in Asia, there are definitely some things that don't go smoothly, but the ones that thrive here are the ones who understand that and want to help solve those new problems that global teams or HQ hasnt solved yet.

Cons

Company says it wants to be "global first" but is still quite a long way from getting there. I think we are getting better at recognizing that HubSpot operates in many countries, and so we are more and more international from that sense, but our operations and our systems are still very much USA centric and it's a frustration for a lot of regional teams.

Thanks so much for the review and the feedback around global-first. I would agree we have work to do on how we evolve our global model, and balancing centralizing versus having folks in region is a constant dance that I'm not sure we've nailed just yet. Thanks for your feedback to help us grow better globally, I really appreciate it alongside everything you do to help SingSpot grow! -Katie

Pros

The teams you work with are phenomenal. The knowledge combination between an internal customer facing teams, engineering product development teams, and Sales are unmatched.

Cons

Excessive use of PIPs to oust employees after multiple high revenue launches, with no explanation, actual documentation, or factual data. Reviews have been adjusted to allow for terminations post pre-approved leaves. Salaries are a joke. You are always in a cover yourself mode 24/7. Management reviews are consistently a 2 or 3 out of 5 no matter what. If a team decides you aren’t in the group, management will put you on a “unofficial” PIP without telling you, in order to surprise you at a later date. Even if they are unfounded. Beware of possibility of negative backlash post launches. They will feel the need to assign blame ( such as for timelines or issues related to bugs). Regardless of performance or level of involvement. This is an enormous company with many large paths for career advancement. But micro management is rampant, leaving little room for doing the daily expectations of your actual role. This degrades your opportunities for career advancement.
