Pros
The people were the only pro, and a lot of the good ones were let go or left for better jobs throughout the last couple of years.
Cons
It is an extremely top-heavy organization, and you are constantly micro-managed. How is it that VPs, Directors and the owners have time to hop on a call to watch you work at all hours of the day? Because they don't have anything else to do. As a family owned business, you would think the family would want us, the employees they hired, to succeed. However, they only thing they want to do is try everything possible to hinder any progress. It is not common for them to randomly hop on a team call to derail the entire roadmap to work on an idea they likely saw from a 5 second clip on TikTok, or whispered by one of the yes-men upper leadership they surround themselves with, only for the project to be abandoned or "deprioritized". Upper leadership does nothing but ramble and ramble about the same buzzwords that do nothing. When I first started, they had provided some arbitrary goal and mission statement as to the future vision of the company. Kid you not, they are no closer to accomplishing their goals at my departure 3 years later from when I first started. In fact, they are moving backwards.
