Pros
Herrmann is filled with kind, hard-working, friendly people who will welcome you and support you in your goals. The perks afforded to employees can be game-changing. You can work anywhere in the world, enjoying a 4 day work week to allow some extra time for personal growth and family. The middle managers supporting you are some of the most approachable, helpful managers I have ever worked with. They are incredibly experienced and wise and their mentorship helped me get to where I am. The company is very clear on its goals, what it wants to do and how you can play a part in that. I felt important and that I can make a difference. They are here to make a difference. I am an introvert and I'm never going to join a company and tell managers around me how you need to work with me, how you need to communicate with me. Herrmann makes that possible and that's incredibly powerful. Just their adoption, eating their own cooking, shows me the possibilities. I feel included and understood.
Cons
The feeling I get from HR is very different to that 'Herrmann' feeling. Communications feel cold, scripted and therefore makes them unapproachable. This is a stark difference to the HR when I joined that were your advocates and checked in regularly on your growth and happiness. The majority of the workforce is Eastern USA so if you are outside of that then you may need to make some allowances, some very early mornings and even later nights. Change has two speeds. Either very slow or it happened yesterday.
