I have been freelancing services to HSX for years –– including weekly onsite work with the full-time staff –– and it's maybe the best client I’ve had. Great bunch of people to work with, focused on an important nonprofit mission. It’s a hip, tech-savvy place that’s always looking for new ways that it can make healthcare data benefit everyone. On this team, you will be given good opportunities and independence to do your tasks. It’s a chance to build your professional platform/resume/experience with a type of organization that’s really on the leading edge of health information technology, and with which you may want to stay.

I like the way it’s kept me on my toes and made me up my game. You’ll be challenged in a good way. They’ve had some change in staff in recent years but that goes with the IT industry, which is fluid. No cons to report, unless you don’t want to be part of a dynamic, well-connected organization in healthcare.
