Interesting Company, but Weak Management and Low Team Motivation - Loyalty Executive Harrods Employee Review

My experience was disappointing, largely due to poor management and a lack of support. Looking back, there were warning signs during the interview process, where the interviewers appeared disengaged and uninspired by their own roles. A significant portion of my time was spent creating presentations that seemed to have little purpose or impact, which felt like a poor use of time and effort. The overall atmosphere within the team was one of low motivation and limited enthusiasm. My manager showed very little empathy, support, or genuine interest in my development. I often felt unheard, undervalued, and questioned my own abilities despite bringing relevant skills and experience to the role. Constructive feedback did not appear to be welcomed, and the working relationship deteriorated whenever alternative views or suggestions were raised. I was left managing responsibilities independently after only two weeks while my manager was on holiday, with very little guidance or discussion about my future, objectives, or career progression. There were no meaningful development conversations during my time there, and surprisingly, no exit interview or feedback session when I left. It's a shame, as there were other teams within the business that appeared far more engaging and aligned with my interests. Unfortunately, my experience within this particular team was draining, demotivating, and ultimately disappointing.
