Pros

- Lifestyle rewards that pay for some personal activities each year - Insurance paid at 100% - A gift for your birthday

Cons

- Salary is highly variable depending on the division you are working for. If you are not in the right division, you will have a bad time. - They have no consideration for the people, only for the cash so if your company finances are bad, you risk to get layed off or having no annual salary adjustment. - RRSP contribution can be canceled anytime if they feel the current market is not good enough. The RRSP contribution is given in one payment each year so even if you contribute to the maximum allowed but leave the company 2 days before the payment date you will get 0$. - They have HR resources but it is only to look nice, They have no real impact even if we report problems.

Great company to work for, though they are all about the next thing to acquire.

Cons

401K plan is a 'maybe we will match' type thing. Could be much better.

Pros

Strong belief in core values and generally practiced. Financially responsible of not edging on thrifty. Change is a constant and there is plenty of opportunity if you know the right people.

Cons

Sometimes they fail their core values which are the foundation of the organization. You will get borderline reasonable pay which doesn't carry long term benefit.
