Pros
- Opportunity to learn new things. - They offer some basic benefits (401k, vacation pay). - The workstations are up to date (for the most part). - Access to most applications artists would need. - They have an IT department which is capable of dealing with most hardward/networking issues.
Cons
- Increasingly corporate mentality. - Low morale among artists. - Mandatory contract suggests they can fire/terminate employment for any reason and do not need to explain why and will not give notice until the day of termination. - Non-flexible work hours, and do not make exceptions for any reason. - They have a record of losing jobs in the middle of production, causing numerous unexpected layoffs. - Barely any real lunch options in a walkable distance from the studio. - At least one individual in "management" uses a lot of profanity and can be rather critical with the quality of work from the artists (lacking in tact).
