The environment at HAVI Global Solutions is difficult to navigate unless you have the support of a good manager, mentor, or sponsorship from key individuals within the company.
There are lots of problems brewing in this company i.e. a dysfunctional sales team, limited to having one client, small deals with other clients, some leaders who have been there too long and are clueless about how to execute on strategy, challenges with retention, growth, and development of minorities i.e. people of color and women, etc.
I could go on and on. But, at the end of the day, HAVI pays well and offers good benefits because the work environment is not challenging (you are often relegated to tasks which do not matter, or will help you grow professionally, etc.) - so when you look to move on to other opportunities at other companies, you are stuck at HAVI because of limited developed skill-sets and the salary they pay you.
Management at HAVI is often threatened and more concerned with managing their professional brand versus achieving an output related to their job function or developing their team.
If you are minority or woman, the ability to grow and develop here is highly limited. Women are often relegated to departments and positions which limit their upward mobility in the organization. There are very few women and women of color in leadership roles and the women in top positions do very little to develop or help other women in the organization.
The turnover of minorities as well as non-minorities is high because the work environment is toxic. People are intimidated by progressive thinking and you trying to stretch outside your role or interact with others in the organization.
This creates an environment of backstabbing, paranoia, and hyper competitiveness within teams with Management leaders often badmouthing people on their team to others, stating comments that individuals on a team made about a person on your performance review when this is not usually the case, etc.
If you want a good salary and benefits with limited growth opportunities, this company would work for you. If you are looking to work in a team oriented position where you can hone and develop your skill-set, buyer beware!
