Cons
Industry low pay with extremely high expectations. Refusing to hire more for the required bandwidth we were experiencing. Poor internal communication. Set false expectations in terms of growth--even if you absolutely thrive and knock it out of the park. Mundane work--you are expected to actively be on a phone queue for 6+ hours nonstop. At times, the queue can be up to 100+ callers spread out among less than 35 people making it extremely stressful (you are frequently talking to unhappy customers who have waited on hold 30+ min). In expectations, this is NOT a sales job 90% of the time. It is absolutely customer support. Even going to outbound, it remains customer care centric. On small biz, they told a portion of the team to flex to Paycheck Protection Program advising with 60 minutes notice. There was no ask. For those who were uncomfortable and said we would prefer to stay in our role, we were told to show ownership mentality. Though we were all up for it, the delivery felt inconsiderate and lacked any empathy. This is just a small example of many things that occurred. Feels like company is greatly out of touch with its employees. Disregarding talent and hiring externally--preventing employees from inbound to move up (therefore stunting all internal growth). After a year and achieving 114% attainment, received a raise equivalent to less than $200/mo total. Was extremely hard to hear on town halls that we were all accepting "Shared sacrifice" when some were making 45K and others were above 6 figures. This was not shared sacrifice.
