Pros

The President truly wants to make a difference in the workforce development industry so there is this initial "feel good" about the work.

Cons

Nepotism and favoritism prevail over talent and experience. The behavior of the VP's and Director's trickle down to the management and staff. Many of the Director's are young, inexperienced and quite frankly, extremely insecure. So much so, they have blatantly lied to have amazing, dedicated staff removed. In turn, management behaves the same way and much of this goes unchecked. Staff walks on egg shells because the place is full of backstabbers and liars making it an overwhelmingly stressful work environment. There is very little structure and accountability and while the company claims to have deep core values, the behavior of the directors say otherwise. HR is understaffed and unable and/ or unwilling to adequately address the very real issues that make this company sick. All of this nonsense affects service delivery tremendously and the clients suffer. STAY AWAY...the place is imploding.

Pros

Great company to work for with plenty of opportunity to grow your career. Mission-driven leadership and employees who truly care about the important work they are doing. Many additional benefits and ways to connect staff across different programs. Museum visits, summer Fridays, team gatherings, and more.

Cons

It can take time to learn all the systems and relationships. It's very fast paced which can be a plus for some.

Pros

Pretty good company culture. I really feel the higher leadership do try to foster a good life work balance.

Cons

Certain leadership can stand a overhaul. My experience at Grant was mostly a positive one. But there was a leader didn't believe in positive re-enforcement. It was more of, I could've done by this time. All the while, tone deaf to how the hiring practices has change. Super out of touch with those who are boots on the ground.
