Pros
The pay is little more compared to the other wall street firms. The culture is also very good in the sense that you really feel like you are part of the Goldman Sachs family. Everyone has an open door policy so someone is always availalable to answer any questions that you have. Management does a decent job of promoting work/life balance. The people are really nice and very intelligent. Senior management is also very good at communicating to employees on a timely basis. Lloyd is a great leader and communicator and hearing him makes you feel good even in bad situations.
Cons
The IT side of things is horrible. Most systems are pretty ancient and everybody has the 'let's just get it out there quickly no matter how good the quality is' attitude which is really sad. Everyone is in more favor of just patching things up with old systems rather than getting new technologies and systems. Projects never get completed to its fullest and it seems like you are always scrambling to finish up things. The business folks have too much power in determining how technology should work and it seems like decisions are made by very frew individuals rather than by groups of individuals or teams.
