Excellent Workplace - Manufacturing Test Engineer Gogo Employee Review

I have worked here a long time and the changes with the merger with Satcom Direct seem to be paying off. The business was not innovative and with Starlink at risk. New management have made the business more performance based, which suits me but not for everyone. Finally waking up to what needs to be done to compete in fast moving industry.

Lots of change, which isn't for everyone. Staff communication at the start of the year was difficult.

It's the best place to work if you like being treated like a child.

Don't believe the good reviews. Satcom Direct and their leaders have destroyed Gogo. The culture in Colorado has slowly been dismantled and replaced by a strict, militaristic style of managing and processes. Just when you think it can't get any worse, it does. Teams that were once cohesive and effective have been torn apart with reorganizations, resignations, and layoffs. Everyone answers to multiple micromanagers who do not know how to lead. Every 15 minutes of your day is examined and criticized. No talking, unless it's work related. Don't stop typing. Don't suggest improvements or question the roadmap, because SD does everything perfectly, even when they don't. Just follow orders and put on a happy face.
