Pros

Not a whole lot of pro's at this point, with the RTO and taking away stock options. Other benefits (besides pay and bonus. The bonus was delayed over a month before I left the company, so I did not get my bonus even though I worked for the entire year of 2024) are fairly good, and the legacy Gogo employees I worked with are great. No other pros whatsoever

Cons

Tons. All Gogo's leaders were let go in December 2024, so leaders from the acquired company took over and the Gogo culture that existed is entirely gone. Horrible RTO communication, taking away stock options from lower level employees. Got more work continuously the last 2-3 years I worked there with hardly any work being taken off of my plate. Worked 50+ hour weeks was a standard thing for a number of years before quitting. Delays in the bonus being paid, causing myself and others to not get their bonus due to poor communication. Will do everything in their power to not pay you the bonus and stock options you are owed. Direct management was good, helpful, and tried to make things better for the team, but any leaders above my current manager were not helpful and did not do anything to help, and did not talk to me about why I was leaving so that they could make improvements. They do not care about the people that work there, only the work you can do for them.

Pros

It's the best place to work if you like being treated like a child.

Cons

Don't believe the good reviews. Satcom Direct and their leaders have destroyed Gogo. The culture in Colorado has slowly been dismantled and replaced by a strict, militaristic style of managing and processes. Just when you think it can't get any worse, it does. Teams that were once cohesive and effective have been torn apart with reorganizations, resignations, and layoffs. Everyone answers to multiple micromanagers who do not know how to lead. Every 15 minutes of your day is examined and criticized. No talking, unless it's work related. Don't stop typing. Don't suggest improvements or question the roadmap, because SD does everything perfectly, even when they don't. Just follow orders and put on a happy face.
