Pros

The people at the Burbank office were legitimately nice Small company environment and lower level employees are pretty tight knit.

Cons

No HR department Upper management from new York try to pay as little as possible Upper management does not care about it's employees work life balance Asking for a raise can be detrimental to your employment status. They have hired incompetent bullies to manager positions multiple times.

Pros

I worked at Giant Interactive (Giant Pictures) as a summer intern for 3 months. For starters, the team is incredibly kind. I immediately felt welcome to the office and integrated to the team. I also learned a lot. Working at a smaller company, there was a lot of opportunity for higher level responsibilities. Everyone is open to questions, so learning happened quite quickly. Small perk, but the office is also conveniently located to many trains and is in a nice area, close to a lot of food and coffee shops. I would recommend this internship to any student interested in film distribution!

Cons

I only have kind words.

Pros

Pros: - operators and project managers are great to work with and have lots of experience - snacks are provided - birthday celebrations with cake, mainly because your coworker care - environment is relaxed but focused when it needs to be - Communication between departments is excellent due to the office side - freedom to do your job which helps bring each department closer together to be more efficient.

Cons

Cons: - NO HR DEPARTMENT so any issues with benefits, time off or policy changes are difficult to address. - policy changes are implemented WITHOUT being communicated to employees. - No training is provided. - Their job tracking system and digital workflow is patchwork at best - because there isn't an HR, personnel issues are rarely, if at all, addressed. this allows toxic employees to be hired and employed which destroys moral. - Low employee moral - high turn over. - No IT or even some who specializes in IT is employed at the company so equipment and the network are always breaking down. - Benefits are expensive for families, and overall not competitive - Pay is not competitive, raises are never offered, if you do ask for more money, it's taken as an insult that you would ask for such a thing.
