Pros
The organization implements best practices from its worldwide experiences and focuses on safety which is good for a potentially dangerous industry. Good pay and benefits. No shortage of work and a big customer base. Great, experienced, knowledgeable people make it easy to work at Jackson's plant. Most employees care to do good jobs and have great work ethic. Safety tools are readily available. Good community supporter. Healthy reputation. Good opportunity. Room for advancement. Liked the people, job, experiences and knowledge I gained.
Cons
In Jackson's plant there is an underlying fear of plant closure that grips the experienced workforce due to recent major investments in sister plants and a minimal amount of spending there. Conversion of its workforce structure stunts progress. Very unprofessional Union leadership. Lack of experience and supervision on "off" and "weekend" shifts. IT department is lackluster. Understaffed. Forced overtime. Potentially dangerous jobs where people have been seriously injured.
