Pros
Each center varies dramatically in corporate culture. So in a sense you can find a place to work within the organization that fits a wide range or working styles and cultures.
Cons
There's a weird cultural rift between academic jobs and admin/staff jobs. Not sure how prevalent this is within academia overall. Also, benefits are not impressive . . .
