Pros

When you first start, wlb seems good, normal hours and workload Generous PTO (in theory) Collaborative environment

Cons

Research by consensus means that every major decision in the process has several stakeholders and sometimes all they want to do is argue with each other. WLB quickly evaporated under the AER process, where I worked 60+ hour weeks for months and was not permitted to take more than an afternoon off at a time. Pay is low compared to similar orgs and raises are minimal. There is no career development because everyone in a people manager role has taken it as a promotion and not been given training or tools to understand hos to do the job effectively. So what ends up happening is you have a lot of people who only know how to project manage trying to people manage. They will willingly promote poor performers if they have been there long enough.

Pros

Being a globally recognized company makes it easy to consistently engage clients. Great benefits. Amazing people (managers and colleagues) For the most part there is a clear path to success and promotions. Executives listen to feedback after every internal call to help guide strategy.

Cons

In office mandate increasing in office days from once a month to once a week. Need to live in Florida or Texas because of the in office mandate. Promotions take a while since there are many people going for the same roles. Hard to reach clients and constant territory’s shifting makes it difficult to achieve the numbers you and management expect.
