I worked at Gartner full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Incredibly smart people, service that is highly valued by clients and brand that opens doors

    Cons

Sales management and leadership team appalling. Best sales performers become the managers. Says it all. Sales have to service their own clients. No matter where your target achievement sits you're only as good as your last month.

    Advice to Management

start caring about clients and your staff. lose the total focus on metrics. Hire people managers. am sure you'll figure it out when the numbers start talking.

    Pros

Wonderful place to work; especially beginning your career. Culture is amazing with collaborative and friendly people.

    Cons

Most people relocate to Fort Myers for Gartner and ultimately would like to end up back with family. After success in the role, more consideration should be given to remote work and/or the ability to work from national offices.
