Pros
Literally a few but not worth the mental health damage that you'll get -Best sales training out there i'm pretty sure, you will be taught to sell pretty much anything in IT world and overcome objections -Great experience for right out of college - you are given a lot of responsibility and work closely with leaders (a type of job that usually requires a lot of years of experience)
Cons
-Underpaid -Impossible commission -All based on luck and your book of business -most management is AWFUL: micromanaging, fakeness, backstabbing - you can not trust anyone and I mean anyone (some do get lucky with a good manager but they are very rare) -you will feel like you're in high school trying to fit in -literally not enough territory making prospecting very hard -some of these startups don't have money for Gartner but you will be forced to push and sell -not enough time in the week to finish all of the work you have to do -too many responsibilities for one role and not enough pay: pretty much doing inside sales, customer success and account expansion (which is usually 3 different jobs in a company) -impossible to get promoted
