Probably the worst job I have ever had. Pay isn't worth the stress. - Customer Service Representative GEICO Employee Review

Pros

Decent hourly pay compared to other entry level jobs.

Cons

Unrealistic goals and metrics. Extremely high employees turnover. Unbearable work environment. Constant gaslighting and changing standards and expectations. Constant technology issues, but agents are expected to work as though systems work smoothly. When whole departments close because too many agents quit, agents in other departments are expected to pick up the slack with no extra pay and no change in the amount of calls per hour metrics. It is clear that management does not care about employees. I liked geico as a customer and was a geico customer for years, but after my experience as an employee, I switched and never plan to ho back.

Pros

Competitive health benefits, 401k matching, genuine, people-focused leadership, career mobility, a renewed focus on driving culture across the company.

Cons

Although it’s not a negative for me if you are not used to receiving regular feedback, good and bad, then you may struggle early on with the culture.

Pros

Strong opportunities for career growth Many people are willing to mentor and support others without expecting anything in return Supportive culture, even from people who may not know you personally Increased focus on education and development, especially for leaders More company activities at the local office, which has been a welcome change Fun associate engagement opportunities like escape rooms, art activities, games, and food events So many opportunities for recognition

Cons

There are still some areas where the company appears to be rebuilding trust and confidence Change is noticeable and appreciated, but some improvements are still in progress Feedback has clearly helped shape recent changes, and it will be good to see that progress continue
