Nepotism (or is it just human nature)
Some management clearly brown-nosed their way up with little in the way of technical knowledge
For every good change, there will be a bad/stupid one
Micromanagement of agents, absurd constraints such as how much time per month you can use the toilet/your free time on shift (now a grand total of two hours/ month), insufficient break and lunch times.
Self-defeating constraints and red tape for red tape's sake
Relevant to above, high attrition rate of staff. Many good, competent people give up/move onto greener pastures/ get fired for stupid reasons like being one minute late too many times.
Any rube can walk through the door
Below standard pay compared to equivalent positions, even when promoted
You can just tell many people are depressed and fed up
