They offer great employment opportunities for the most part. Customer site location like (VW Chattanooga) has good working facilities to do great work. Formel D have good intentions to take care of the customer with poor execution. Somewhat provide tools. Company makes a good case study of what not to do.
Cons
Very slow in dealing and resolving recurring on job issues. Work shift model creates low team morale and poor quality of work life rendered by the swing shifts. Strained employee relations and obvious prejudices. Management clearly points out company policies but then enforce them selectively. Unfair pay compensation among team members working in a common area doing the same type of work with up to 8 dollars difference among peers. There seems to be a trend in privileged demographics in the work place. Hires inexperienced mechanics for technical jobs leaving the customer short changed. No system skills evaluations for correct job placement. Poor communication skills. No indicated valued loyalty with long term employees.
