Pros

Good atmosphere, great customers, great burgers & fries...if they are made the five guys way and not just the way someone decides to do it. Red shirts have great hours, and in some cases, have more respect for the company. Great District Manager and General Management...depending on who that is as well.

Cons

Being a manager means no life, except the Five Guys life. Close & open back to back...which means no sleep. A lot of the grey shirts are lazy, don't care about helping others out...until it's time to close, then it's all about hurrying up, and not so much about doing anything 100%. The pay is not equal to the responsibilities/time involved.

Pros

They will teach you everything you need to be successful. They have much higher standards than most places, one of the few places I'd have no problem eating at any location. They'll make sure you have everything you need to meet those standards, especially once you get to a management level. They have corporate trainers and the GM at my location was also great. I'm a GM at a different place now and my experience here left me well prepared me for that position.

Cons

Pay. That's the only reason I left, I would have stayed with the company if I could have gotten a raise and I would definitely return if they offered something comparable to what I'm making elsewhere.
