Pros
I started with First Service about 6 months in a head office role. I've been extremely impressed with the organization and the leadership thus far. Everyone genuinely cares about their staff and the business as a whole, it's getting harder and harder to find that in organizations these days. I'm glad I accepted the role and can see myself being happy here for a very long time. They do a great job of promoting internally, I'm seeing a lot of "site staff" moving into office roles. Great to see upward mobility and a strong career prospects in a recession proof industry!
Cons
Some of the days can be long and a lot is expected of me, but these expectations were made clear from the start so not really a con, just worth noting. It's not a free ride but those who work hard are rewarded for their efforts.
