Pros

Great Location, Good co-workers, Hot industry which should translate to good job security

Cons

This is a place where the smallest decision needs to be reviewed by 10 people. The running joke is whether the President will show up on time for meetings (if he shows up at all). You never know who's head is going to roll next - yours, your co-worker, or another Director's. I'm not sure how they're able to attract any applicants for leadership roles at all!!! I want to be clear - 99% of the staff are wonderful, hard working, competent individuals that work in a toxic, dysfunctional environment. This is a classic case of one rotten apple that ruins the bushel. 1). Abusive President that is not held accountable by Corporate Head Office 2). President is judgmental and has a habit of pitting people against each other through negative narratives and childish name calling. 3). As soon as another leader disagrees at all, a smear campaign will start. The only way to remain in the organization is by becoming as abusive as he is. 4). Never ending list of projects that never get done due to ridiculous turnover and lack of vision 5). No vision to follow - just a revenue driven mindless organization which makes you feel like there is no value or reason to go to work other than collecting a substandard paycheque. 6).Below industry standard pay

Pros

Great company culture with strong core values and a collaborative environment. As a remote employee, the flexibility and work-life balance are a huge plus. The IT environment is also very dynamic — there are multiple systems, platforms, and technologies in use, so the work rarely feels repetitive or boring. The company is supportive of employee growth and development, offering training opportunities and access to a large online learning library. Another positive sign is the number of long-term employees; many people have been with the company for 5+ years, which says a lot about overall employee satisfaction and stability.

Cons

The company frequently changes business processes and technologies. While innovation is good, it can sometimes feel like just when you’ve fully mastered a system or workflow, a new tool or process is introduced. Workload can also fluctuate depending on business initiatives and project demands. Because it’s a large organization, there are a lot of layers of leadership — supervisors, managers, directors, VPs, etc. At times, it can be unclear who the correct point of contact or decision-maker is for certain situations.
