Soul-destroying - Anonymous employee Fenergo Employee Review

Fenergo genuinely once was a great place to work and I had some great learning and development opportunities, but Fenergo today is nothing short of toxic. New C suite executives hired in 2022 really changed the culture dynamic for the worse with their inflated egos. Completely lacking in professionalism and have no respect for employees. The “People team” are completely unhelpful - don’t want to deal with you and redundancies were handled appallingly. I particularly question how some of them are in these roles with such a lack of basic people skills and empathy. No job security and complete lack of trust in management due to being told no more jobs would be cut then two more rounds of redundancies followed. Transparency and communication consistently raised as issues yet never addressed by management. Morale is at an all time low and the atmosphere in the office is abysmal - efforts to build up culture have been extremely poor and there is no sense of psychological safety among employees. Salaries and benefits well below industry standards. Salary reviews for 2023 were a mess. New ranking system created by HR given during performance reviews that didn’t align to peer and manager feedback that was given. Sales and whoever shouts the loudest are looked after as always. Some great courses available through UCD but no time to upskill due to working long, thankless hours and verging on burnout. Difficult to progress your career unless you bootlick the right people. There are some genuinely great and talented people working at Fenergo but there is such a dreadful atmosphere filtering from the top down. Like many others have said it feels like a sinking ship, which is sad as it really was once a great company to work for. If you have any respect for yourself avoid this place at all costs!
