Pros

Free transportation is a mighty fine perk, but also working for a start-up in a now proven and highly successful industry, ride-sharing. Knowing that start-ups are notoriously volatile, the stability and comfort of being part of a business shown to be successful cannot be understated; it's the high reward, less risk dynamic that makes working here the best of both worlds— I'm working for a start-up that I can confidently say will become a company. On top of that, all of the human beings here are really inspiring and beautiful, and say that with no tongue in cheek.

Cons

There's so much work to be done! If you were in Boston last winter, and had to shovel snow, you would finish and look with pride at your cleared sidewalk only to have it blizzarded on the next weekend, and you'd the job with pride again. This would happen every weekend. Working at Fasten is much like this. You think you've caught up, but then a snow storm comes, and it's time to shovel again. Depending on if you love a challenge, this can be defeating or invigorating. I'm of the latter.

Pros

Fantastic coworkers who are hardworking and caring. An endless amount of long- and short-term challenges keeps things very engaging. I feel like I am heard, respected, and appreciated by the rest of the company including those above me. It's a perfect job for independent yet collaborative individuals who are especially motivated by adversity. While there's plenty room for improvement on behalf of the company, I feel lucky to get to come to this job each day. Salary and benefits are great.

Cons

Communication between departments was rather disjunct when I first started, although I've noticed improvements on that front. Other than that, there are cons to most every job. This is why employees are paid, and I feel like I am adequately compensated for whatever "cons" come along with the job.
