Pros
Valhalla - For me the commute is awesome. The building has a covered parking garage, a decent gym, and a questionable cafe. You can print 30 pictures for free a month...
Cons
1) the health insurance is... Pretty bad. They lure you in with this Red Brick Health thing, saying you'll get incentives that will help you pay down your deductible and out of pockets. You get a nice HSA account to help. Sounds good until you or your family member has a medical issue, the HSA funds don't go in for the year, they are given on paydays. Have Specialty drugs? Forget it - they don't help cover those costs. "Go to the drug company and see if you can get financial assistance." 2) management is demoralizing. My director screamed at a co-worker in our open cube area and everyone could hear it. We constantly get talked down to. It's demoralizing. 3) there are a lot of for-lifers here that resist change. When I asked why there is so much turn over they sighed and said..."those Millennials". (Meanwhile they are talking to a Millennial.) 4) the president turns over every few years, which is good it leads to innovation... Flip side of that, it probably works well in Japan, but here in the US, not so much, especially when people resist change. There are also parts of the company that are going thru a transition = layoffs. 5) silos... They absolutely hate cross collaboration and communication.
