Pros
Driven by engineering/technology. Products are in a position in the enterprise or service provider datacenter to fill many roles. Really really smart people. Good balance of hardware and software technology FTW! Turning point in product line as main thrust of one major product must become several to grow.
Cons
Youthful exuberance is turning into early maturity - big changes going on. Can be chaotic and we are definitely in the middle of the process of finding the sweet spot between no process and too much process.
