Pros

Can earn over 100,000 if you are good at sales

Cons

I will get into the actual schedule, work, and pay of this position, but I did not want to bury the lede. Exactly as the title implies my boss (basically the owner), said the N word talking about black people multiple times. He even saw how uncomfortable it made me and still said it (hard R), I couldnt believe it. He also would pretty consistently, like every week, say something like “people think I’m racist because I do this, but I’m not. Here is the real reason I do this…”. In my experience, people who aren’t racist don’t have to go around saying they aren’t racist all the time. But that’s just my experience. Along with the racial talk, boss, just said some extremely strange things that have no place at work. He tried to start politics talk regularly, complained about younger generations, made a vulgar joke about my then fiancee, now wife, and I’s sex life, and consistently stereotyped different demographics of people. He also just wasted so much time talking for HOURS about random things. I remember one day he probably spent 15 minutes showing me tik toks of women bouncing around in bikinis, or 30 minutes showing pictures and videos of his family vacations. Schedule I went through the interview process for this position twice, because I accepted the job once, and then decided to take another position and then came back and re-interviewed and re-accepted the position again, and I wish that Everdry had just been forthright for what the schedule/work life balance was. I truly thought that Everdry would be a great fit for me because they advertised it as running a couple of preset appointments per day, and you would know when your appointments were scheduled for. This could not have been further from the truth. Many days working at Everdry, I was working (either driving to and from appointments or sitting appointments) from 9am to 9pm. Some days even started earlier and went later depending on how far away the appointment was. Specifically, once I did not get home until 11pm. This would be completely fine IF the position was advertised this way, it was not. It was advertised as 27 hours a week. I would knock that out in 2 and a half days during my time there. The owner would say this is because it was a busy season, but Everdry needs to be forthright during the interview process. Even on days when I was not scheduled open to close, I might as well have been because you are on-call like a doctor all day. So even if you are not scheduled for an appointment until the afternoon you still have to be ready at the drop of a hat to run one, so I can not stress enough how far the schedule was compared to the work life balance that was sold to me during the interview process. It is extremely hard to have any sort of a family life while working this job. That was my experience, and the experience I gathered based on what I know about a couple of the other employees: one guy was very upfront with me that it is hard to date and work this job with its schedule, another is married with a kid and said something along the lines of “I just want to tuck my son into bed one night a week”. Even my boss, said when he was a salesperson he was working so many hours he and his wife had to go to counseling because it was causing problems, which there is absolutely nothing wrong with that, counseling is great if its needed, but it speaks to the type of schedule and how hard it is to live a family life while working as a salesperson at Everdry. Work If you like crawling around in the most disgusting crawl spaces in Indiana, this is going to be a great fit for you! You will meet tons of spiders and insects, and see a ton of mold up close and personal. For real though, just awful. One day, on a beautiful Saturday afternoon after driving an hour plus to an appointment to crawl around in one house that had two ENORMOUS crawl spaces absolutely filled with water, I was texting with my buddies who were enjoying their days and I just could not believe how I got myself into this job. To think, I thought this would be a good fit for me! Considering I could go on zip recruiter or Indeed right this second and find 1000 sales jobs where I can work from home and make over $100,000, I can not imagine wanting to drive around 4 hours a day some days (not reimbursed for gas) only to crawl around in filthy, damp, areas. There are so many better sales opportunities for someone who wants to make good money doing sales. This is also not a very sales friendly environment. In most sales jobs, if you put in work with a lead and they buy the product, you will get the commission. Not with this job. You can put in 5 hours after drive time working with someone and if they call back in a couple days, the boss will take that commission with a 20 minute phone call. Speaking from experience. Pay The pay is fine, it's pretty standard with sales. I was on pace to make about 90k and I was only there for a month. The top rep makes about 250k, maybe more. I would say it is the same as every other sales job when it comes to pay. The pay will take a while to ramp up because installs are like 3 months out and that’s when you make half the commission. You aren’t reimbursed for gas, which in this economy means you are spending $100 every two or three days. Also like I said earlier, you can put in time with someone and then either the GM or another rep will just get that sale handed to them if you don’t close them on your appointment and they call back anytime after 8am the next day. And considering the waterproofing sold is 20k plus, it is very likely that the person you are talking to will want to sleep on the decision. But even that being said, it's pretty easy to make $100,000 working at Everdry if you are good at sales, but it's like that at most sales job you can find on zip recruiter or indeed. Overall All in all, if you crave a boss who says really weird things, a horrible schedule, and wet and moldy crawl spaces, Everdry is going to be a good fit for you! It just wasn’t for me unfortunately.

Pros

They are desperate and will hire anyone because no one stays here. Revolving door mentality.

Cons

Ridiculous amount of driving with no reimbursement, they expect you to drive hours during rush hour from one side of the state to the other in the same day. Very misleading when you start as to expectations and types of leads.
