Pros
I like the concept of the company and how it’s intertwined with helping people. Oh and you get to wear jeans and sneakers on Friday.
Cons
My supervisor was lazy and hardly took a proactive approach to lead her team. Some examples include but are not limited to…National meeting invites would get sent to me 10 min before they started. Meetings in my department with other BSC’s were almost nonexistent so I sometimes felt lost. Essentially, I never feel guided nor did I feel like my supervisor set a good example due to her doing the bare minimum. Personally I liked the duties attached to my role and actually enjoyed preforming them, but my colleagues are extremely overworked. They (Talent Development Specialists) are overworked because management is constantly throwing new assignments to complete that are not stated in their role. Employees being overworked with little compensation leads me to believe this is why they have such a poor retention rate. Also, their benefits are horrible. You only get one day of PTO per month.
