Pros

Lots of talented people eager, able, and willing to do the work if provided the necessary tools and resources to complete the task.

Cons

Executive leadership is only focused on the current quarter and making the numbers for the Street. Causing extreme anxiety within the team, leading them to search (and find) better opportunities outside the company. Those who remain are left to do more with less (thereby no work-life balance), only work on operations as all innovative work is being given out to contractors. Tech executive give lip service to helping individuals grow when in reality cutting positions without any real plans on how, who, and where the work will be done.

Pros

My direct manager. Comp plan if you’re lucky enough to find several whale clients, and if you’re lucky, the commission is approved.

Cons

There are a lot. First, office politics. Equifax expects employees to be very corporate and robotic. Metrics metrics metrics. 100% focused on revenue, not customers. Metrics, metrics, metrics. PIP overuse. Even when you’re 150% to yearly plan 6mo in, they expect 300%. Make sure to keep receipts. Senior management will find the most ridiculous ways to push reps out, continently right before a huge payout of a very delayed commission plan. (Sell something in Jan 2025, you will only get a fraction of commission until June 26). That’s if the exception committee approves payout (which never happens). If you sell a big deal, don’t expect to get paid 100% of what the plan says.
