Pros

The pay was good. Most of the people you work with are pretty cool. If you keep your head down and don't get involved in the culture, you'll go far. If you don't want to move into leadership, you shouldn't have any problems. If you align yourself with the right people, you can go pretty far, either that or sit on SWOT calls all day and pass your work off to your subordinates and you'll be fine.

Cons

Instead of listening to you and reaching out when you have problems, your boss will likely just get rid of you rather than work with you to correct whatever it is. If you go above your boss's head to resolve an issue, you're screwed. They say to bring your whole self to work but what they mean is only if it doesn't impede their ability to turn a profit. When you have issues or perceived issues, they don't refer you to any help. They will always believe in management over the employee, no matter what. As a healthcare organization, they really don't care about the health of their employees at all. Work-Life balance is a joke. Wellness is only for leadership. There are no advancement opportunities. When you press for advancement or career path information, you're sent to a site that tells you to make your own path. They constantly ask you for money for their PAC so they can try and shape the legislature to suit their financial goals. There is NO LGBTQ2SIA+ executive leadership. One executive leader took the time to confirm and found that in 10 years, no one who self-identifies as LGBTQ2SIA+ has been promoted into leadership in their organization. BIAS is a constant buzzword but no one understands what it means. Instead of coming out in favor of women's healthcare when Roe v Wade was overturned on June 24, 2022, the CEO was on her way to NYSE to ring the bell on June 28, 2022 announcing a name change and new parent organization that is Elevance Health. That's who Elevance Health is and why you should be wary of working there, period. Did I mention the health insurance? Subpar. You're an insurance company and your own consumers have better healthcare than your employees. It's unconscionable. I guess all that money makes it easy to sleep at night because I wouldn't know.

Pros

Good Benefits and insurance Groceries benefit School reimbursement Gym benefits Hospital indemnity Insurance Remote work convenience

Cons

Pay rate never really goes up. Prefer to promote inexperience outsiders than from within. Low pay At the whim of Manager Favoritism Political Pretentious Metrics based of friendship with Management Hard to move up of you don’t suck up to a Manager or be political or be part of their click and group. QIP is also at the whim of the manager. Faulty metrics where you are blamed for FCR failures even when you fixed the issue on your first call and but because the member called in multiple times to other associates who didn’t help. Or do their job, they blame you for first call resolution when you never talked to the member till you resolved it. This is really messed up and it affects your QIP.
