Pros
WFH though I hear that they are shifting back to the office per the new CEO Standard benefits
Cons
You need to have a stomach for being laid off potentially every quarter by some middle management manager who would never be a manager at any other company. I had 5 managers last year and only one of those was actually in the right role. It is constant churn and nothing ever gets done. Data is a mess on the backend and has questionable accuracy. Never take a job here working with it. Technology is lacking and it seems every Monday when you come to work, IT breaks something over the weekend. They do everything they can to screw over the employees. Example, offering some voluntary program for those folks impacted by the quarterly layoffs that allows HR to pick a job for you to interview for, the catch is if you don’t take what they find for you, you lose your severance. If you really wanted to retain talent then they would allow you to work with HR to match your skill set or an open position that you feel qualified for. In working at Anthem, you need to read between the lines on everything they offer as being beneficial to you because it never is. If you are desperate for a thankless job then Anthem is your place. If you value yourself and the work you do then look elsewhere. It will never be valued at Anthem. You are just a number unless you are a sociopath then they seem to do well at Anthem and move up the ranks.
