Pros
Provides employment for English speakers in a predominately French province
Cons
I was offered a job on Friday, and was given only a weekend to accept the job offer after which they informed me that the offer would be terminated. I am not sure about the exact laws but I think that in Quebec the employer is supposed to give you at least a week to decide whether to accept and offer or not. They did the same with my friend and she asked if she can have at least a week to decide. They spoke very rudely to her and she declined the offer. They keep you from 8 to 5 with an unpaid lunch break. u have to log into a computer software everything u did for each minute of the day. Poor training is provided and no feedback. They fired me on the 5th day of work without any warning. Up until the 5th day they kept on saying I was doing well and never expressed any discontent. They gave no feedback upon firing. I had not even had a proper task until them. It was mostly trainings and they never reviewed any of the tasks they gave me. it was a sudden shock to me and it turned my whole life around. From other reviews on glassdoor I read that every week atleast1 employee is fired or quits. Its a waste of time even accepting an offer here. They get grants from the government to hire new graduates or create jobs in the field of environment only to fire them soon after. Seems like a fishy business practice.
