Good for juniors to spend early days of career, but not proper for manager levels - Manager EF (Education First) Employee Review

Pros

Good chance to learn how to 'run' employee to maximize profits, not bad career starter in 'juniors are already self'motivated' perspective.

Cons

There is no HR in the company, and that can tell you a lot. No management at all. Only drive for revenue. Very frustrating if you are managers since you don't have any tools to manage people. I understand this is education company so you see a lot of employees' educational background, but this company seems a bit obsessed with it. That creates glass ceiling. No internal or gradual promotion. Managers get hired from outside usually.

Pros

You get to choose your tour and recruit the students you want to bring. The paid chaperone ratio is 6:1, so it is very manageable. The tours are great and the local experts are wonderful.

Cons

Company support is variable. There is high turnover and new consultants are very sales motivated and don't always get the nuances of your school or community group. I have had some WONDERFUL concusltants, but they have always been promoted before I get to work with them again.
