Pros

Decent pay Pleasant low level staff

Cons

Awful management Cannot keep employees Constant promotions to corporate while lower level staff is left short staffed and encouraged to work overtime (or ET as they call it) Management is rude and impersonal Constant metric goals that would normally be simple to meet, however, when employees are understaffed calls stack up and meetings with managers to discuss improvement are cleared for months at a time Personally I’ve had four different managers within the past two months and have yet to even make contact with my most recent Lower level staff is expected to work through sickness while management is allowed to take weeks off for the same symptoms WAH employees have very little, if any, contact with fellow coworkers and are left with no contact for weeks at a time Benefits are laughable Tuition reimbursement is a joke, mine was denied because my major “wasn’t relevant to my position” but my managers was completely paid for and we had the same major and work in the same department (mind you the reimbursement was of less value than my average pay check) PBS is absolutely pointless due to upper level staff getting priority, meaning their system will choose your schedule at random (schedules are set in three month intervals so it’s a long time for a bad schedule) It’s nearly impossible to feel valued within the company when managers are condescending and detached when they finally talk to you

Pros

It provides a paycheck... until you recover some semblance of self-respect and manage to escape.

Cons

Forced to clock in and and out every day no matter your position, complete with turnstiles, video surveillance and security guards. Punch the clock to go to lunch, take a walk, or get something out of your car. It's not just for security; they are counting your hours, minutes and seconds. There have been several massive layoffs recently. Threatened to clock 45+ hours/week or else be put on the layoff list. If you arrive at 9:00:01 am then you are reprimanded. Three tardies and you are automatically fired. Forget having a doctors note or other appointment in the morning, as there are no excuses. If a blizzard comes, we are told to stay in a nearby hotel room and walk to work the next morning. There are no windows and you must stay in your chair. I wouldn't be surprised if the badges have GPS to track your movements within the building. Certain employees are designated as rats, who secretly keep logs and report back to management anyone who is away from their desk, goes to the bathroom or spends time in the break room/cafe. All the other negative reviews are 100% true, no exaggeration! Prison-style workplace, toxic environment, hierarchy of oppressors, fear-based leadership, culture of gaslighting, mental health risks, etc. I would give zero stars. RUNNN!!!
