Pros

In a startup environment the opportunities to evolve both as a professional and person are limitless. Using / Exploring / Applying new technologies and frameworks is the best way to get your hands dirty and improve your skills. The most important is the opportunity to work with talented people with strong opinions that all share a passion of what they're doing.

Cons

As always the startup environment is ad-hoc, so it can became really stressful and busy. However it is a risk that an ambitious engineer should take.

Pros

Working at Cupenya meant that I interacted and collaborated with some of the best human beings I have ever met. The attitudes towards work, but also towards personal growth and learning are fantastic. Mistakes are not punished, but analyzed and improved upon. Progress and success are praised, making achievements even more satisfying.

Cons

The only downside of working at Cupenya, if this could even be considered as such, is the constant pursuit of new ideas. This sometimes created a somewhat unfocused work environment, where current projects are rushed to completion, so that new ideas can be developed. A roller-coaster environment such as this can help certain people thrive, while stagnating the growth of others. However, this is nothing new for young technology companies, and is less of a con and more of a fact.
