Cons
October 1 - December 15th is insanity. If you can't handle pressure this is not the job for you. The slow season can be incredibly boring and you must possess the drive and self management skills to survive the slow months. The busy season is only 1 quarter out of the year - pardon my language but you'll go balls to the wall for 3 months and the rest of the time is steady and "normal" which can feel like turtle speed after 4th quarter.
It is incredibly difficult to break into this business your first year. Once you're passed the first year it's much easier to breathe financially.
They don't promote very often and if you're good at your job you'll be stuck in that position for your entire career here. Yes there is a promotional chart for the agents but at the end of the day it really changes nothing for the agents even after they've achieved that status. While it's very possible to thrive in the same position, moving up is also incredibly important to me and I'm starting to feel stifled.
