Pros

There are a few very nice people at CRES.

Cons

This company needs serious overhaul in the Corporate Structure and if the employees out in the field do not have a good Portfolio Manager they will never get anywhere in this company. The corp office is like going back to high school LOTS OF CLICKS... They say they want to hire strong and talented people but best not give your opinion to upper management because if they do not agree it will bite you in the ass, This company should be investigated by the State for the way they treat employees... Retaliation runs rapid... The company is very tight lipped with open positions and do not share open positions with other employees... you literately have to threaten to quit to get ahead in this company. That seems to be where most promotions happen. The senior management is a gossip column and could start their own newsletter in the tabloids. They disclose information to other staff members they should NEVER disclose. Again this goes along with the High School Antics... BEWARE... I regret working for them and I hate having to list them on my resume because they really have a poor reputation with other companies in the area... I have literately been questioned why did you ever consider working for this company during interviews since working there. I just shake my head and said it allowed me to learn what I do not want in a company I work for. I honestly regret ever working for this company. Because CRES is fee managed they are managing properties for other ownership's as well as their own. I sat in one to many meetings while the owners and upper managers made fun of its clients it served. That is soooo unethical... and if the ownership's heard some of the things said about them Coast would not have MANY of the ownerships they currently have. It makes it very hard to work for a company with so little respect on so many levels.

Coast Property Management Response

We are very sorry that you seem to have a bad experience with Coast. Repeatedly rated one of the “best companies to work for in the Northwest” and having more than nine out of ten people rate our executives with positive comments and support means that your experience was not the norm. In fact, most members of our executive team have been with the company for over ten years which speaks volumes about the kind of company Coast is. Addressing issues while you are at an employer in an open and honest manner is a better approach than speaking ill of people in an anonymous forum where no claims can be vetted. We have hundreds of employees at Coast and in your case we have fallen short of making everyone happy. We wish you nothing but the best as you proceed in your career and are hopeful you are able to land in a position with people more in line with your ethical standards.

Pros

The company is currently involved in a class action lawsuit

Cons

Nepotism invloved in filling managerial positions. The lawsuit has already resulted in removal of those pretentious poor performing managers.
