Pros
- Pay is a little over minimum wage - Lots of young people work at the weekend so it was a fun experience - Good staff discount - I was given a good amount of training (including health and safety training) to be able to carry out my job safely and confidently
Cons
- Conflicting messages from different managers about store appearance and stock management - All the area managers I encountered were either very lazy or bullies, all totally unaccountable to anyone (our complaints were ignored) - Very old fashioned values about uniform & appearance - No uniform provided (unless you work in the warehouse) and no uniform allowance given - No longer pays time and a half on a Sunday or extra on Bank Holidays
