Role is too broad and unclear making it hard to hire for the right competencies. Expectations on VEs are absolutely crazy with them needing to cover 10 roles in 1 without structured internal teams to get support on specific topics.
Many unnecessary managerial lines and a lot of micromanagement.
Lots of proofs of value even for very unqualified opportunities leading to VEs not being able to prioritize correctly based on actual soldity of opportunities.
