      Pros

      You will work alongside some very talented people who love what they do and are focused on delivering awesome projects. There is ample opportunity to collaborate between Construction, Development, Asset Management, etc. which provides experience unavailable in a traditional GC role. Your experience working as an in-house GC is fundamentally better than working as a 3rd party GC for a demanding owner due to the strong relationships between teams. Excellent compensation and opportunity to take on direct responsibility for your project's performance.

      Cons

      Carmel's work is concentrated in Multifamily and exposed to slowdowns in that sector.

      Learn a lot in detail and high expectations, smart people

      Cons

      most people get promoted when they are frustrated and looking for other options - doesn't help them be better leaders. Advancement dependent on visibility over performance, Seniors are hands off
