Good career development opportunities via tuition re-imbursement, internal career movement.
Cons
Learn from previous internal and competitors outsourcing or managed services approach and maybe don’t follow the steps just to bring it all back once the service provider doesn’t do for the organization what the internal vested and engaged worker. Pay for loyal long running employees is below market and never seems to get much higher. Outsourcing plans seem to be the way of the IT culture. Work life balance is talked highly about, but when it comes down to it they don’t care.
