Pros
- Good clients - SLT are approachable and genuinely want the agency to do well - Lots of socials - Good relationship with media owners - Flexible working (3 days in office)
Cons
- Corporate culture - Annual leave - this is basic for new starters at 20 days. Employees are forced to take 10 days annual leave (half of starting allowance) over Christmas, which causes issues with many employees wanting to travel, or those who don't celebrate Christmas for religious reasons. - Benefits need a review: No birthday off, no EOY or christmas bonuses, no gym discounts or season ticket travel discounts. - Office location is not in great part of Sydney, very few shops or cafes making lunch expensive. - Office decor is corporate and souless - Travel & expenses - most people work with clients or colleagues in other offices or states, however Carat still have a travel ban and are generally very tight-fisted with travel which can make client relationships awkward (this doesn't seem to be the case for SLT incidentally). Same goes for expenses. - Although not a con for some, office days are 3 days a week (Monday, Wednesday and Thursday).
