Pros

The UK is still a good business and a good place to grow your career and progress quickly. It's just no longer a great company which is once was. Training seems to be being rolled out in a better way with more focus on external training which is long awaited Interesting clients, lots of events, working in big teams rather than siloed on small roles.

Cons

Policies are really really behind the market, salaries may be on par with industry but people are not fooled so easily. HOLIDAY: Holiday is also less than at other comparable firms, Accenture, Deloitte etc and they have also stopped allowing holiday carryover etc MATERNITY: Particularly if you are female and planning a family at some point go to the big 4. Capco maternity was effectively statutory and from experience the flexi working policies just aren't geared up for 1/2 + children. Women - AVOID! OTHER The company is growing significantly, but in a bit of a bums on seats way. The focus is not to try and make money in any way other than this, which is outdated as an approach A lot going on at the moment with the management restructure at the top so its a waiting game to see how things turn out. The old management has been walked out of the building and the new management are seemingly replicating the same practices they took issue with. The irony is its just a different clique with less charismatic management.

Thank you for your feedback and suggestions for improvement. We’re pleased that our recent focus on learning has been impactful across the workforce. The refresh of tools, offerings and structure were designed and launched with an emphasis on engaging solutions that empowered our employees, our business and our company. Our goal is to help people work smarter, grow faster and learn more often. As such, we’re happy that careers are progressing and teams are better able to collaborate! Similarly to our latest enhancements around learning and development, we regularly review the market when establishing, and improving, our benefit offerings. For example, our maternity package significantly exceeds statutory and we also have a number of additional benefits available to support working parents. I’m happy to talk you through these benefits if you would find that helpful. As always, we welcome employee ideas – feel free to reach out to HC with suggestions and recommendations! Thank you.

Pros

Varied client work — Different clients and project types, which keeps things interesting. Real project mobility — You can move between projects when you advocate for yourself (within reason). Approachable leadership — Senior leaders are open to conversations if you reach out. Good development resources — Plenty of training and growth opportunities if you take advantage of them. Strong teams — Colleagues are smart, capable, and great to work with. Entrepreneurial environment — New ideas are encouraged, and there’s room to take initiative.

Cons

Long hours vary by project — Like most any professional job, some engagements require extended hours for prolonged periods, but work–life balance really depends on the client and team. Additional internal responsibilities — Depending on level, there can be a significant amount of firm‑support work outside of client delivery. Domain alignment not guaranteed — You may not always be staffed on projects that match your domain expertise. Coaching alignment constraints — Coaching relationships are tied to domain, which limits flexibility in choosing formal mentors. Long engagements (sometimes) — Some projects run for long durations or through multiple extensions. It can provides stability but may reduce variety in client and project experience depending on what you’re looking for.
