I'm concerned about the restructuring and the changes in management. It's a lot of change which brings uncertainty. - Anonymous Canadian Institute Employee Review

Pros

The people are wonderful to work with. They are job-focused, good at their jobs and excellent team workers. They care about the quality of their work, they care about their co-workers, the client, the product and the company. I value working from home. When I used to commute into the office, it would be 2-hours each way and cost me $500 a month. Working from home, I actually work longer hours, from about 8:30-6:00 and sometime working in the evening as well. When I had to commute, my work schedule was impacted by the train schedule.

Cons

I'm concerned about the level of work my colleagues have. Everyone works so hard. They are focused. I don't see a lot of lazy work. Yet, they all seem overwhelmed.

Pros

Overall a positive environment. I value the independence, management allowing me to do my job. Team members who really care about each other and work together to achieve a shared purpose/goal.

Cons

Have agendas for meetings, that way staff knows what is going to be discussed, less time guessing what will be discussed. Reduce the email noise. Take the time to create concise emails. Read colleagues emails... we have so much information coming in, sometimes we do not read emails.
