Pros
- People here are awesome to work with, often felt more like a family atmosphere
- GM really focuses hard on people and the culture, he consistently takes an active role in understand what people are thinking and feeling about work situation
- Management is fully invested in ensuring the culture is people centric, they take time to involve all levels
- Busch Family is all about investing in new technology, big capital upgrades are expected every year
- Everyone has the ability to get involved in various projects and be a major contributor
- Many opportunities to get experience in various aspects (project management, capital projects, general management) and different departments
- Willing to invest in your growth with various trainings and education
- Climate controlled factory is a big plus
- All in all I've really enjoyed working for USM
Cons
- All Busch companies stand on their own with a dotted line back to parent company, was frustrating to deal with sometimes.
- Not good about moving out under or lower performing employee, specially in management
- Ability to move up the ladder is there, but not a clear or quick path, USM is a smaller company and thus limited ability to go up
- Bad about quickly replacing people, almost always understaffed for what management would like to accomplish
- Management is so focused on improving and moving forward that they lose sight of current reality, and try to build upon a broken foundation
