Pros
Some home working and a small amount of flexi perks equalling to around £2.50 a month. Bonus money if you make a sale.
Cons
Where shall I start. Put it this way, when your estate agent is telling you he has heard Brookson have a hire and fire culture, you know you're in for a rough ride. It may be a nice job if you're a specialist advisor here however if you are just an office administrator - you are in for a rough ride, not to mention some of the lowest pay in the job market. First of all they put you on a long 6 month probation during which you're not paid for any time off due to hospital visits or sickness. In the interview they will tell you Brookson is a flexible company however (as other reviewers have pointed out) in reality when you ask for flexibility you are made to feel guilty for having asked. The team meetings are daily, pointless and excrutiatingly dull. You are monitored to the teeth - I had my manager call me when I took a bathroom break at home to ask where I had gone. Every single thing you do will be checked, to the point you'll not be able to concentrate. They will be looking over your shoulder and every mistake will be logged and challenged. You'll be told at the meetings that feedback is welcomed however in reality feedback is taken with offence and feedback will be given often and very disrespectfully. I personally faced bullying by my manager, it has become a accepted part of their culture. Do yourself a favour and get a job in Tesco, McDonalds or cleaning the bins. Literally any other job will be better than this. Don't even waste your time, zero stars.
