Interesting work, great colleagues and convenient location

There are too many to list. The managing partner is manipulative and moody, takes a lot of frustrations out on his staff who work the hardest I have ever seen. If you aren't staying until 9-10pm every night you're on his bad side automatically. He makes people punch in and out so he knows when you come in and what time you leave at night, but refuses to pay legally entitled overtime for the late hours worked. He used to have everyone on as independent contractors even though we are all employees. I think the CRA started sniffing around so he finally had to cough up the dough to bring everyone on as employees and give them the benefits they deserve. He is very cognizant of online reviews - all the reviews from Sept/Oct 2013 were fake - he forced his staff to create them, with his review and approval of course. Overall, he has zero appreciation for how hard his staff work, for one of the lowest salaries in the industry. For all these reasons, the firm is constantly losing great people to more competitive and less toxic work environments.
